Not automatically, but it makes the moisture reading decisive. On a narrow strip between two bays, groundwater is close and many slabs push real vapor. High readings get a penetrating sealer that seals while letting the slab breathe. We test before quoting.
Our driveway is short and steep. Is it worth coating?
It can be, and slip resistance is the reason to talk about it rather than just durability. The counterweight is plow contact: a blade on a short steep drive works the surface hard, so we would rather set the expectation honestly at the estimate than oversell the finish.
Our garage is small and close to the lot line. Any access problem?
Rarely a problem, occasionally a scheduling one. Tight lots mean equipment placement takes a little more planning and there is less room to stage. It gets worked out at the in-home estimate rather than discovered on install day. Small floors are normal here and are a normal booking.

Polyaspartic is chlorine tolerant at normal pool concentrations. Saltwater pool systems are also fine. Heavy chemical spills (concentrated shock, muriatic acid) should still be rinsed off promptly, same as you would for any finished surface.
What about the pool coping or waterline edge?
We coat the horizontal deck surface. The vertical pool coping (stone or concrete cap at the waterline) is a separate decision; we can talk through whether to include it during the estimate.
Can I coat a concrete deck with a stamped pattern?
Film coatings cover stamped patterns. If you want to keep the decorative pattern, the Essential sealer (also offered) preserves the look while adding chlorine and freeze-thaw protection.
How long does the install take?
Most residential pool decks are 1 to 2 days on site. Larger or premium decks take longer. We coordinate around the pool-use season; spring or fall installs are easier than mid-summer.
When can I open the pool after the install?
48 hours for walk and swim use. Full coating cure continues for a week beyond that, but the surface is functionally ready at 48.
